en Purification of PIA and rSesC as Putative Vaccine Candidates Against <em>Staphylococcus aureus</em> زیست شناسی ملکولی Molecular Biology مقالات اصلی Original Article <div style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Background: </em></strong><em>Staphylococcus aureus</em> is predominant at sites of biomaterial-associated infection (BAI) and frequently infects hospitalized individuals.<br> <strong><em>Methods:</em></strong> The polysaccharide intercellular adhesin (PIA) and <em>S. epidermidis</em> rSesC protein, major macromolecules in biofilm formation, were purified under native conditions and cloned and expressed in a prokaryotic host.<br> <strong><em>Results:</em></strong> Purification of the macromolecules was confirmed by FTIR and Western blotting.<br> <strong><em>Conclusions:</em></strong> The <em>S. epidermidis</em> SesC protein and PIA were successfully purified.
